Everything should be adjusted for your personal taste preference, but here are our recommendations. So feel free to play with these ratios and express yourself with a great cup of Ink Wtr Coffee, Tea, and Chai!
We recommend water temperature between 195-205 degrees F.
Auto Drip - Medium-Medium/Fine Grind, Use 3.75oz (7 tablespoons/106 grams) of coffee to 64 oz of water. Place coffee in your coffee filter, add filter to your coffee maker's brew basket, hit the go button and enjoy!
French Press 24oz - Medium/Coarse Grind, Use 1.5 oz (3 tablespoons/42 grams) coffee to 24 oz water. Place grounds in the bottom of your french press. Add water that is just below boiling; stir the grounds and the water. Place the top back onto your french press and let sit for about 10 minutes, then press down your plunger and enjoy!
Pour Over 24oz - Medium/Coarse Grind, Use 1.5oz (3 tablespoons/42 grams) coffee to 24 oz water. Place your pourover filter in your preferred pour over device, and use a small amount of water to rinse the filter and your device. Empty your device of water before beginning the brew process. Once your device has been rinsed and emptied, add your coffee to your rinsed filter, and slowly, in a concentric circle pattern add water for 30 seconds to allow your coffee to bloom. Let the bloom rest for 30 seconds. Slowly add water for the next 2-3 minutes in the same pattern, and enjoy once complete!
Cold Brew Half Gallon (64oz) - Coarse Grind, Use 8oz (16 tablespoon/225 grams) coffee for 64oz water (You can also use 4oz coffee in a 32oz french press). If using one of our Cold Brew Packs, place the entire pack in 64oz of water (half gallon) and stir for 30 seconds. Once the pack is saturated, place the covered container in the fridge for 18-24 hours. Remove the pack and enjoy! If you are using grounds, filter the coffee (using a standard coffee filter or cheesecloth) and enjoy! Cold Brew should be kept refrigerated and can be enjoyed up to one week from brew date!
Black Tea Hot: Use 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf (1 sachet/5-10grams) of tea for every 8-12oz of water. Water temperature between 190-200 F, let steep for 3-5 minutes.
Green Tea Hot: Use 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf (1 sachet/5-10grams) of tea for every 8-12oz of water. Water temperature should be between 160-180 F, let steep for 2-4 minutes.
Herbal Tea: Use 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf (1 sachet/5-10grams) of tea for every 8-12oz of water. Water should be just off of boiling (200-210 F), let steep for 5-7 minutes.
Liquid Chai: Mix 1:1 liquid chai with milk or your favorite milk alternative. Pour over ice, blend with ice, or heat in a small saucepan on the stove until it's nice and steamy (do not over boil), then enjoy!!
